Alexia Valdes

About

Alexia Valdes has a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from Otis College of art and design, a bachelor's from UC Santa Cruz, and is 80% finished with a Masters of Science in Integrative Nutrition from Bastyr University. She started teaching at the college level in 2011 and came to the area in 2015. She primarily teaches English 101 and connected classes, as well as English Language Acquisition. Her values in the classroom are integrity, diversity, compassion, and humor. Her classroom is a safe place especially for neurodiverse, learning-diverse, and racially diverse students. All are welcome, all are respected.
